Goa FA announced 22-member squad for Santosh Trophy Championship 2022-23

The Western Coastal side will start their campaign against the host Assam on 28th December.

Goa team Head Coach, Norberto Gonsalves named 22-member squad for the upcoming Santosh Trophy Championship 2022-23 starting from 28th December in Assam.

"Player attitude is excellent in the camp and I hope for the same from the players in the Championship. Though it was a short time, we are well prepared and ready to face any opponents. Our first Target is to top the group and get through to the next round." The gaffer said.

The Western Coastal side has been placed in group III along with host Assam, Tamilnadu, Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.

Omkar Vaigankar is also excited ahead of his first state duty as a team manager in the National Football Championship 2022-23 as he said "Team Goa is going to be the perfect blend of young as well as experienced players. Of course, this trophy is a matter of pride for us and always will be. Rest assured the whole lot will play for pride and fight till the end."

Goa will start their campaign with a clash against the host on opening day at Kokrajhar Stadium, Assam. Meanwhile, they will face Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Tamilnadu on 30th December, 1st, 3rd and 5th January 2023 respectively.

Forwards: Lloyd Cardozo, Stendly Fernandes, Video Colaco, Clencio Pinto.

Midfielders: Trijoy Dias, Vasim Inamdar, Kirtikesh Gadekar, Mohammed Faheez, Domnic Soares, Ganesh Thakur, Ribhav Sardesai, Harsh Patre.

Defenders: Liston Cardozo, Nickson Castanha, Clive Miranda, Klusner Pereira, Shallum Pires, Daniel Gomes, Jovel Martin.

Goalkeepers: Sanij Bugde, Hansel Coelho, Roanal Gaunkar.
